It’s that time of year again! Who doesn’t love going to the fair? All week long I have been so looking forward to getting me some fried oreos from the North Carolina State Fair, and man, they were delicious.
I am so happy to have such awesome friends here in North Carolina. Girlfriends are hard to come by these days, so I am soaking up every minute I have with these ladies before we all graduate and move our separate ways.
We walked around, ate turkey legs, kettle corn, and fries, and that pretty much sums up our night! haha. Why does anyone go to the fair except for eating the food? We tried to watch the pig races but the stands were full and we couldn’t see the pigs.
This was the hugest fair I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to quite a lot of fairs throughout Florida and Alabama. The booths were never ending! It was like a magical neon wonderland. The crowds were crazy, but since we weren’t riding any rides it wasn’t a huge deal.
Now that I’ve had my fried food fix, I think I’ll be satisfied until next year. What are some things you all like to do at your local fairs? Comment below!

I love fairs! My favorite game is pointing the water gun into the clown head and the balloon rises and then the first one to pop wins prize! I have devised method for winning every time 🙂 You might enjoy my post regarding our local fair and goldfish. Just a warning in case you are ever looking to win a fish. https://nynkblog.wordpress.com/2015/01/15/call-me-ishmael/ Love your blog and plan to read more when I have a moment. Your Paris photos are glorious! and you and your husband adorable. My uncle lives in Raleigh and I need to visit. My older son is looking at colleges so maybe a trip down south is in order. The fall colors here are beautiful. Thanks for visiting me.

Around here, the big day at the Fair is Tractor-Pull Sunday. We almost didn’t get to our own wedding because of the traffic jam on our rural road on Tractor Pull Sunday at the Washington County Fair. Fired oreos? Hmmmmmmm?
